Supreme Painting References
Quality and Dependability on Every Painting Project Since 1985
Simple Steps to Help You Get the Information You Need
From Each Homeowner Reference You Check
|
Most People Never Check References…
We Really Want You to Call Ours
|
Many homeowners want to check references but they aren’t sure what questions to ask.
Due to the economy a lot of companies have sprung in the painting business and a lot of commercial companies
have suddenly become “expert” house painters. Checking references will help you avoid hiring a company that is
learning house painting on your project.
Often, people don’t even bother to check references. They believe "no one will provide a poor reference".
Unfortunately, if you don't check references, you make it easy for the unscrupulous contractor to succeed.
The outline below was created by a company that has spent years advising and educating both homeowners and
residential contractors on professional business practices.
They recommend that you prepare a list of 5 to 10 questions to ask each person. Obtain a rating on timeliness,
quality, cleanliness, adherence to price and professionalism. Confirm the project that the renovator performed.
Being prepared for the reference calls will give you a quick way to determine who is better.
Basic questions you may want to ask:
- Did they start when they said they would?
- Was the price quoted what you paid? If not, why not?
- Were there any problems during the job...and how did they handle it?
- Were they courteous to everyone in your home?
- Would you - or have you - recommend them to someone else?
- Why did you choose them and not the other guys?
Add any other questions that are important to you to this list.
We hope this Reference Guide helps you get the information you need to make the best choice when it comes to
hiring, evaluating and working with a professional renovation contractor.
We are providing this as a service so you can make the best decision possible in hiring a renovation contractor,
regardless of who you decide to go with.
Our clients think of us as interior decorators simply because our painting makes your rooms or your entire home
come alive. We can help you choose just the right paint colors to match your decorating ideas. Of course we will
be pleased to work with your interior decorator. When your are ready to paint your home we would be pleased to
meet with you and demonstrate why our clients consistently recommend us to friends, relatives and business
associates.
I am not sure why people don’t call a painting contractors references. Maybe it’s because most painting
companies only provide 3 references and any company should be able to come up with 3 people that were
satisfied.
We provide you with a list of 50 recent customer references and we strongly encourage you to call as many as
you like. We believe this is evidence of the consistently great service we provide. If a painting contractor can’t
come up with at least 10 recent references it is a smart idea to cross them off of your list.
We also give you references from our bank and our key suppliers so you know that we are in solid financial
shape. If a contractor can’t give you references from their suppliers then they probably won’t get the best pricing
on the materials they buy or worse they may not be able to start on time because they can’t pay their bills.
Lots of folks have entered the painting business as a way to make ends meet so it is a good idea to check
customer, bank and vendor references before you sign.
There have been plenty of stories in the local news about contractors scamming homeowners so protect yourself.

"From meeting Dalton to saying goodbye to his
team, this was the most professional company
for home repairs that I have ever had the
pleasure to utilize. The most outstanding part
of the experience was seeing firsthand how
dedicated they are to a clean job - the job took
2 days, and they left everything completely
cleaned up and vacuumed the night between
the 2 days. The guys were careful to remove
all breakables and valuables from the work
area, returned all furniture to it's original
position, and again, left me with a job well done
and a work area even my housekeeper will be
grateful to see. Thanks Dalton, Joe, and
gang!!!"

Mr. Tomlinson performed an estimate on the
same day it was requested online. He was not
the low bid, nor was he the high bid but it was
clear he was extremely service oriented and
was awarded the contract. The contract was to
remove 13 year old wall paper in a very large
master math and then texture and paint. To
our amazement and despite icy weather
conditions his crew was always on time and
rarely took breaks. I work from home and they
were very quiet and kept everything neat and
tidy. They had completed the job a day early
and made sure we were completely satisfied
before leaving. I cannot say enough about the
professionalism of everyone at Supreme
Painting from Dalton Tomlinson to his entire
crew. I would definitely call them again and I
am pleased to recommend them without
reservation.
Barbara - Grapevine
"Excellent experience. Estimates were on time
and accurate. Dalton started the job even
earlier than initially planned and used double
crews to knock it our quickly before the
holiday. His crew was professional, quiet and
considerate of the homeowners and our
property. Cleaned up well after each day's
work. We had the entire interior of our home
painted in multiple colors, and the end result
was outstanding - we were very happy with the
quality and the look. Dalton is not the
cheapest guy out there, but he really proves
the old adage about getting what you pay for.
We will definitely call him again for future jobs.

"Fair estimate for the work, scheduled
promptly. Work was started on time, finished in
the expected time. Painter was very careful to
cover and wrap areas around the project. He
did a great job of matching new paint and
texture to a ceiling that is about 15 years old.
Everything cleaned up, no muss no fuss.
Extremely pleased with the quality of the work."
Kathren - Mansfield
"They did an excellent job, and are very

Dalton,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you and
your guys for a job well done. Both me and my
husband were very pleased with the work and
professionalism of your business. Your guys
were very prompt and considerate of my time,
and that is very appreciated. Thank you is not
said often enough, but I wanted to make sure I
did not let this opportunity pass by. Should
we need more work done in the future, you will
be the first person we contact. Have a great
day!
Lisa - Fort Worth
